C1: Fixation

Calling you beautiful is an understatement

Looking at your face (against the glimmering sun) spreading its rays to take more beauty from the world

Looking at your (shimmering) eyes giving it back

Sometimes sucking it all in and the rays in them become brighter, fiercer

Sucking me in

As I am left to feel or not feel at all the lightness of existence

(I woke up to an image in my mind that that inspired this image. It was of S looking at me through the corner of his right eye, as the falling sun and the ocean behind made it sparkle. We were standing on the pier arguing. Obviously, I embellished a bit to allow the moment its glory that can only be found in poetry, fiction, and our imaginative minds when we recall what could have been and make it more.)

The Easiest and Most Beautiful DIY Project on the Planet

I had so much fun with this project. It was such a joy to walk on the beach and look for all those little treasures. Luckily for me, It had plenty of them. Those precious seashells made me realize that beauty is all around us, we just need to make ourselves aware of it.

I placed my vase (or actually wine glass lol) on my desk, where I can see it constantly, because it inspires me to be creative and think outside of the box. Also, because it’s so beautiful and I’m very proud of it!

Another perfect place for it would be… the bathroom since seashells have a calming, soothing effect to them and they remind us of the beach. It will be the perfect view when you’re taking a relaxing bath.

Enjoy and tell me which version is your favorite!

Steps

1
1. Collect them! Try to only collect whole (none-broken ones) or whatever your eyes find appealing.
2
2. Wash them with mild hot water and let them sit for 10 minutes.
3
3. lay them out on their backs and let them air dry for as long as they need. Use a blow dryer if you’d like to speed up the process.
4
4. Divide them by pattern, shape, size, color, or whatever looks good to you.
5
5. Get a wine glass (like I used), bowl, vase, or anything that’s transparent.

You can spray-paint them as well, but I figured nail polish is cheaper and more accessible. I find that nail polish colors that work best are the ones that are almost transparent and/or only provide a nice sheen.

P.S. For an extra sassy kick spray them throughly (before placing them in the bowl) with your favorite perfume/spray, preferably one that smells ocean-y or a tropical one.
