Dear Wonderful Reader,
I’m obsessed with Carey Mulligan style. This young starlet may let her style go when she’s running errands or getting a cup of coffee, but I think it’s only out of laziness and carelessness. But when she’s is dressing up for events, she dresses like a fashion goddess!! Mulligan’s style is minimal, elegant, and feminine. Did I mention I’m totally in love with her style?!
I divided her style into four different categories, since she likes to switch it up sometimes. I especially love how she just ditches jewelry!
*Even though diamonds are a girl’s best friend and I owe many jewelry pieces and I love them and I’m always tempted to buy more, when it comes to putting on outfits, I feel like the less jewelry the better: minimal to no jewelry make the woman look more effortless, clean (cut), sleek, and sexy because it focuses the attention on her skin and silhouette and it implies that she doesn’t need the aid of a bling to be noticed (was that the longest sentence ever?!). Personally and most importantly, minimal jewelry make me feel more comfortable and liberated. Though, I’m not swearing off buying jewelry or anything!
My favorite category<3
A. Sleek, Modern, Minimal, & Sexy
C. Elegant, Vintage, & Old-lady Like (I mean that in a positive way)
P.S. I owe lots of old-lady pieces and I love them! They’re just so elegant!
D. Quirky & Fun

Amazing…right?!
Dear Wonderful Reader,
I’m infatuated with lighthouses; I find them quaint, symbolic, and somehow very setimental.
“There is no fog so dense, no night so dark, no gale so strong, no mariner so lost but what its beacon light can rescue. It beckons through the storms of life. It calls,
‘This way to safety; this way to home.’”
― Thomas S. Monson
Perhaps its their classic charm, that brings me comfort. Unlike cars or phones, a lighthouse has always looked like a lighthouse and this sense of familiarity is so nice to have in an age where everything and everyone gets a makeover.
Gazing at a lighthouse fills my soul with a great sense of tranquility. They blend in so beautifully with nature, because they haven’t been altered and stained with modern day technology. Breathe deeply and take in the serene sky, the crystal water, and the peaceful lighthouse in this picture; relax and clear your mind!
Perhaps its the metaphoric significance of their function: they provide light to those who are lost or struggling in deep sea. The kind of light that promises home to the lost, and hope to those who are fighting vigorous waters.
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
(John 8:12)
They symbolize God and his promise to us: no matter how murky it gets, there is always a guiding light to a safe shore.
Perhaps its their graceful strength and how they stand tall and still in the midst of ferocious waters and ruthless storms.
This amazing lighthouse located in Long Beach, CA is where I had my very first, real date (along with other spots). It was a great day and the date was very special. This bitter-sweet Lighthouse will always hold a special place in my heart.

P.S. Shine like a beacon today!
I absolutely loved this little fruit bouquet. It was as delicious as it’s gorgeous. My best friend had it delivered to me as a late graduation gift. Also loved the lil vase it came in; it now sets very nicely on my dresser. This absolutely made my day ❤ ❤
Over the weekend me and my mom hung out at an outdoor plaza for mother-daughter bonding time. We went to Barnes & Nobles for a while, and then shopped/browsed the stores for fun. After our long, fun day we got hungry and I suggested we go to CPK. My mom LOVED this Spicy Chipotle Chicken pizza, and that is really impressive cause my mom is a REAL picky eater. She thought the cheese was excellent and the pan couldn’t be any better, and she loved the toppings.
If you got a sweet tooth, then the Belgian Chocolate Soufflé Cake is a must-eat at CPK. Can’t describe it cause words won’t do it any justice. Try it for yourself ASAP!
P.s. They also serve it with ice-cream ❤
