Style Watch: Louisa Clarke

Dear Wonderful Reader,

I present to you Louisa Clarke from Me Before You. I recently went to the watch the movie in theatre and was inspired by Ms. Clarke’s silly and child-like sense of fashion. I adopt more of a simple, minimal style when it comes to clothing, but Lou is here to remind us that its fun to break the rules every now and then and to dress for the inner child within us. Fashion shouldn’t be about rules or regulations. So make the most of your wardrobe by mixing and matching what you already have.

Lou’s Looks Guidelines:

Minimal, natural makeup

Elementary School hairstyles and braids of all types

Short necklaces

Colorful purses, watches, and earnings

Mixed and matched pieces, with patterns

Scarves and belts of all shapes and sizes

Colorful leggings

Funky Mary-Jane shoes often worn with socks

Young Love

A funny poem I have once written to a boy I thought I liked. “xxx” substitutes his name.

Waves, water, beach
xxx is about to deliver a speech
But he doesn’t know what to say
‘Cause he was blazing it all day

He gets up
He starts making up

Everybody is silent
The Professor looks like he’s about to get violent

The Professor hugs xxx
He almost shed a tear
Then, offered him a free beer

xxx couldn’t believe it
He thought how Mary Jane should be legit
To celebrate, he smoked two joints
Right till their end points (accompanied by his Professor)
