Kindness & Love

Dear Wonderful Reader,
I finished the book of Proverbs and I had to say that nothing had hit me hard like the last two chapters did. Without further ado, I present to you some of the scripture that touched me.

Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer; hyraxes are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces. (Proverbs 30: 25-28)
Commentary: I love this scripture because as soon as I have a good idea or action plan that I get excited about, my brain quickly races to remind me of my flaws, and lack of potential in this certain field. And even after that this phase is passed, it tells me “what if you dedicated all your life to X, do you think that’s going to be enough? How’s one person is going to make an impact in this whole wide world?”. So I love this because the Bible tells us that those creatures though not powerful, they are impressive because of their of their wisdom and they made up for their “weakness” by preparation to a degree that it’s even more expectational than if they were perfect. Love the last verse especially!

If you’ve been foolish and arrogant, if you’ve been scheming, put your hand to your mouth, because churning milk makes curds, squeezing the nose brings blood, and stirring up anger produces strife. (Proverbs 30: 32-33)

Commentary: This scripture plainly and simply tells us that we will reap what we sow. A lesson and a truth that is presented and highlighted in many areas of the Bible. So spread kindness and love so you’ll reap kindness and love too.

  1. The smallest stone may fall, knock into another, and soon, and entire hillside is on the move. A bird landing on the snow may shift the top layer, causing it to shear away, starting a massive avalanche. You may be the stone that starts the landslide. If you don’t try, you will never know.
